In a bizarre and alarming incident, a 34-year-old woman from Uttar Pradesh drove her Kia Sonet car on a railway track in Telangana’s Ranga Reddy district, triggering chaos among railway staff and causing multiple train services to be suspended or diverted. The event took place near Shankarpally, and videos of the incident have gone viral on social media.
Videos Show Chaos Unfold
In one 13-second viral clip, the car is seen moving along the tracks, with railway staff running behind it. Another video captures local residents, railway officials, and police personnel struggling to bring the woman out of the car.
In a third clip, after she is forcibly removed and her hands are tied, the woman can be heard shouting in Hindi, “Open my hands!”

Mentally Disturbed, Says Police
According to Railway Police Superintendent Chandana Deepti, the woman appeared mentally unstable and was aggressive when apprehended.
“A preliminary probe has revealed that she worked with a multinational company until recently. She is originally from Uttar Pradesh,” said Ms. Deepti.
Police recovered her driving licence and PAN card from the vehicle. Authorities are also investigating whether the woman was attempting suicide and possibly trying to stage the incident as a murder.
Railway officials confirmed that at least 10 to 15 passenger trains, including a Bengaluru-Hyderabad service, had to be diverted as a safety precaution during the chaos.
“It took nearly 20 people to stop the car and pull her out. She showed no cooperation,” said a source from the railway staff.
The woman has been taken into custody and a full investigation is underway. Authorities are now working to determine her motive and psychological condition.
