Youth Stabbed in Balasore During Ram Navami Festivities

Balasore: A youth named Santosh Kumar Sahu, a resident of Chittol village in Balasore district, was stabbed by five unidentified assailants during Ram Navami celebrations in Soro, Balasore district, on Sunday.

The attack occurred in the afternoon near the Soro Court Square, where Santosh was standing among the crowd gathered for the celebrations. The assailants, who arrived on two bikes and a scooter, suddenly attacked Santosh with a sharp knife, causing serious injuries to his hands, head, and back.

Locals immediately came to his rescue and rushed him to the Soro Community Health Centre (CHC). However, as his condition worsened, he was later shifted to the Balasore District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) for further treatment. His condition is reported to be critical.

Upon receiving information about the incident, the Soro police reached the spot and launched an investigation. The police are trying to ascertain the motive behind the attack, but it remains unknown so far.
