Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa’s romantic drama Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat continues to perform well at the box office, surpassing the ₹20 crore mark within three days of its release. Despite a noticeable dip on Day 3, the film has maintained steady momentum, emerging as a surprise success amid stiff competition from Maddock Films’ Thamma.

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat box office collection day 3 stands at ₹3.37 crore net in India, bringing the total domestic earnings to ₹20.12 crore. While the movie saw a drop of around 56.52% from the previous day, trade analysts expect numbers to rise after the night shows.

Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat Box Office Collection Day 3 Sees a Dip but Crosses ₹20 Crore

The film had a strong opening on Day 1, collecting ₹9 crore net in India. On Day 2, the earnings dipped to ₹7.75 crore, marking a 13.89% decline. However, crossing ₹20 crore within three days is a significant achievement for this mid-budget romantic drama. Industry experts predict that the weekend shows could further boost the movie’s total earnings.

Occupancy and Regional Performance Across India

On Thursday, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat recorded an overall occupancy of 22.86% across theatres in India. Day 3 morning shows had a 9.99% occupancy rate, which improved to 27.71% in the afternoon and 30.89% in the evening. The film’s final figures are expected to rise once data from the night shows is compiled.

The Delhi NCR region recorded the highest number of screenings with 533 shows, followed by Mumbai (321), Ahmedabad (266), and Hyderabad (182). Cities like Pune, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Surat, and Lucknow also saw strong participation with over 100 shows each.

Regional Trends: Delhi, Mumbai, and Ahmedabad Lead Collections

The film is performing best in urban markets such as Delhi NCR, Mumbai, and Ahmedabad. Lucknow and Jaipur have also reported encouraging turnout, while smaller cities are expected to show growth over the weekend. The positive word-of-mouth and festival season buzz are helping the film sustain its momentum.
