Valmiki Jayanti 2022: The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, has greeted the nation on Valmiki Jayanti. The Prime Minister also shared a video of his thoughts on Maharshi Valmiki.

The author of the great Hindu epic Ramayana, Maharishi Valmiki, was a great sage and the first poet of the Sanskrit language. Maharishi Valmiki’s birth anniversary is observed on the day of the full moon in the month of Ashwin each year.
According to Hindu mythological , Maharshi was born to Varuna and his wife Charshini, the 9th son of the eminent Maharishi Kashyap and Goddess Aditi.
