Krirangan: The East Bengal vs FC Goa ISL 2025-26 clash ended in a goalless draw as both sides shared points in match 22 of the Indian Super League at Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan.
Despite several promising attacking moves from both teams, neither side managed to find the breakthrough in a tightly contested match. Miguel Ferreira was named the Player of the Match for his performance.
East Bengal vs FC Goa ISL 2025-26: First Half Highlights
East Bengal FC head coach Oscar Bruzón made two changes to his starting lineup, giving first starts of the season to Mohamad Rakip and Naorem Mahesh Singh.
Meanwhile, FC Goa coach Manolo Márquez retained the same lineup from the previous match.
The visitors nearly struck early when Ishan Pandita chased a lobbed pass from Dejan Dražić, but a timely recovery tackle from Anwar Ali denied him a clear chance.

East Bengal’s best opportunity came when Naorem Mahesh Singh set up Bipin Singh on the left flank. The winger delivered a precise cross to Youssef Ezzejjari, who unfortunately sent his shot over the crossbar.
Goalkeepers and Defenders Shine
Prabhsukhan Singh Gill made an impressive save to deny Brison Fernandes after a quick attacking move involving Ayush Dev Chhetri and Boris Singh.
Moments later, Boris Singh came close again as his right footed strike hit the post. At the other end, East Bengal midfielder Mohamad Rashid rattled the crossbar with a powerful long range attempt.
Second Half Stalemate
The second half turned into a tactical battle as both teams tightened their defensive shape. Substitutions from both coaches failed to open up the game.
FC Goa had a late opportunity when Abdul Rabeeh set up Raynier Fernandes at the edge of the box, but his shot sailed over the crossbar.
East Bengal pushed forward during added time, but Goa’s defence held firm to ensure the match ended in the first ever goalless draw between the two teams.
The result leaves FC Goa provisionally third in the league standings with eight points from four matches, while East Bengal remain close behind in fourth with seven points.
