Bhubaneswar: The Odisha IAS reshuffle 2026 has brought changes to several administrative positions across the state. The Odisha government on Wednesday appointed Akavaram Sasya Reddy as the new Commissioner of Berhampur Municipal Corporation.
The appointment was announced through a notification issued by the General Administration and Public Grievance Department Odisha.
Reddy, who was serving as Sub Collector of Jeypore, will also continue to hold the additional charge of Vice Chairman of the Berhampur Development Authority.
Odisha IAS Reshuffle 2026: Key Administrative Changes
The reshuffle includes several new postings for IAS officers in district administration.
Akshay Pillay, who was serving as Sub Collector of Bonei, has been appointed as Additional District Magistrate of Paradeep in Jagatsinghpur district.
Meanwhile, Arugula Sneha has been appointed as Chief Development Officer-cum-Executive Officer (CDO-cum-EO) of the Zilla Parishad Mayurbhanj.
New Zilla Parishad Leadership in Two Districts
Two more IAS officers have also been given district level development roles.
- Samir Kumar Jena appointed as CDO-cum-EO of Zilla Parishad Ganjam
- Soumyaranjan Pradhan appointed as CDO-cum-EO of Zilla Parishad Kalahandi
The data suggests that such administrative reshuffles are routine steps aimed at strengthening governance and improving implementation of development programmes across districts.
