  KEY TAKEAWAYS:
  • AIIMS declared results for more than 460 faculty positions across AIIMS New Delhi and AIIMS-CAPFIMS.
  • Blockchain technology was used to secure evaluation and improve transparency during the six-month recruitment process.
  • The appointments are expected to strengthen patient care, medical education and research capacity.

NEW DELHI: The AIIMS Faculty Recruitment Results 2026 have been announced, marking the completion of one of the largest faculty hiring exercises undertaken by the premier medical institute in recent years. The recruitment covers more than 460 teaching positions, ranging from Assistant Professor to Professor, across AIIMS New Delhi and the AIIMS-Central Armed Police Forces Institute of Medical Sciences (CAPFIMS) campus at Maidan Garhi.

The results follow a six-month selection process that attracted over 3,200 applicants for 464 faculty vacancies. AIIMS said the recruitment was designed to improve transparency by integrating blockchain-based digital technology into the evaluation system.

AIIMS Faculty Recruitment Results 2026 Used Blockchain Technology

AIIMS filled 265 faculty posts at its main New Delhi campus and another 199 positions at the AIIMS-CAPFIMS campus. The institute stated that digital systems were used to safeguard the integrity of the selection process from start to finish.

Marks awarded during evaluation were digitally secured using one-time passwords before being processed by software that generated the final merit list through pre-approved algorithms. Human involvement was limited to resolving tie situations, reducing the possibility of manual interference and allowing faster publication of results.

The use of blockchain-backed digital security reflects a broader shift toward technology-driven governance in public recruitment, where transparency and auditability have become increasingly important.

AIIMS Faculty Recruitment Results 2026 Expected to Strengthen Healthcare

The recruitment is expected to expand AIIMS’ academic and clinical workforce at a time when demand for advanced healthcare services and medical education continues to grow.

An increase in faculty strength will help improve patient care, support specialised teaching programmes and expand research activities across multiple departments. The additional appointments are also expected to reduce teaching workloads and improve faculty availability for students and patients alike.

AIIMS Tightens Institutional Policies Alongside Recruitment

The recruitment announcement comes shortly after AIIMS introduced new social media guidelines for students, faculty, researchers, employees and affiliated organisations.

The policy, which took effect immediately after approval by the competent authority, restricts the unauthorised use of the institute’s name, logo and branding across digital and print platforms. The guidelines apply to undergraduate and postgraduate students, doctoral scholars, faculty members, administrative staff, recognised student bodies and third-party collaborators associated with the institute.

Together, the faculty recruitment drive and updated institutional policies highlight AIIMS’ focus on strengthening both its academic infrastructure and governance standards as it continues expanding its role in healthcare, research and medical education.
