BHUBANESWAR: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Deputy Chief Ministers KV Singh Deo and Pravati Parida, along with other leaders, extended 80th Independence Day 2026 greetings to people across the state and the country on Saturday.
The leaders used the occasion to remember the sacrifices of freedom fighters and martyrs while renewing their call for unity, integrity and development. Their messages also focused on Odisha’s goal of becoming a prosperous state while contributing to the vision of a developed India.
80th Independence Day 2026: CM Majhi Honours Freedom Fighters
CM Mohan Charan Majhi paid tribute to both prominent and unsung heroes of India’s freedom struggle in a post on X.
Majhi said the courage, sacrifice and patriotism of freedom fighters continue to inspire citizens and remain closely connected to the freedoms enjoyed today.
He urged people to honour their legacy through service to the nation, unity and a strong sense of responsibility. Majhi also reiterated his vision of building a “Samruddha Odisha” while contributing to “Viksit Bharat.”
80th Independence Day 2026: Singh Deo Salutes Martyrs
Deputy Chief Minister KV Singh Deo extended his greetings and remembered the countless martyrs who sacrificed their lives for India’s independence.
Reflecting on India’s journey over eight decades, Singh Deo highlighted resilience, progress and unity as important forces behind the country’s transformation.
He said Independence Day provides an opportunity to renew the commitment to justice, liberty and equality while respecting the national flag. He also reaffirmed Odisha’s commitment to development and prosperity for every citizen as part of the Viksit Bharat vision.
Pravati Parida Extends 80th Independence Day 2026 Wishes
Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida conveyed her greetings through a video message, wishing people on the 80th Independence Day.
Her message, along with those from Majhi and Singh Deo, marked Odisha’s participation in the nationwide celebrations.
