Vadodara: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday criticised Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Chhatron Ki Goonj’ initiative, saying young people would stand with the truth and would not be misled by what he described as “Jooth Ki Goonj”.

Modi made the remarks while addressing a gathering largely attended by young people in Vadodara, where he inaugurated development projects and laid foundation stones for projects worth around Rs 35,000 crore.

The Prime Minister also used the occasion to urge India’s youth to build expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Referring to the Congress campaign, Modi said young people would choose truth despite attempts to mislead them.

“At every nook and corner, you will find people who will try to mislead you through ‘Jooth Ki Goonj’, but today’s youth will stand with the truth,” the Prime Minister said.

‘Chhatron Ki Goonj’ is a student-dialogue campaign launched by the Congress. Programmes under the initiative are being organised in different cities across the country.

Through the campaign, the Opposition party is raising issues including examination paper leaks, the cost of education, alleged irregularities in government recruitment and unemployment.

During his address, Modi also spoke about the government’s work across different sectors.

He highlighted areas including solar, wind, hydro and nuclear energy, saying young people could see the government’s focus across these sectors.

The remarks came as the Prime Minister addressed a large gathering of youngsters in Vadodara.

PM Modi Urges Youth to Become AI Experts

Artificial Intelligence was another major focus of the Prime Minister’s address.

Modi called upon young Indians to develop expertise in AI and said the country wants its youth to excel in the field.

“Youth of the country have to become experts in AI,” he said.

The Prime Minister’s message combined a political attack on the Congress campaign with an appeal to young people to focus on emerging technology and build expertise in AI.
