The Prime Minister has advocated for improving the governance process and policy implementation in the country through civil service capacity enhancement. The National Programme for Civil Services Capacity Building (NPCSCB) – ‘Mission Karmayogi’ was started with this objective in mind to prepare a future-ready civil service with the proper attitude, skills, and knowledge. This Conclave is only one more step in that direction.

The Capacity Building Commission is hosting the National Training Conclave with the goal of encouraging collaboration among civil service training institutes and strengthening the training infrastructure for civil servants across the country.

The conclave will be attended by about 1500 representatives from training institutes, including Central Training Institutes, State Administrative Training Institutes, Regional and Zonal Training Institutes, and Research Institutes. Civil servants from central government ministries, state governments, and municipal governments, as well as private-sector specialists, will participate in the discussions.

This varied gathering will stimulate the exchange of ideas, identify challenges and opportunities, and produce actionable solutions and comprehensive capacity-building plans. The summit will feature eight panel talks, each focused on a specific problem relevant to Civil Services training institutes, such as faculty development, training impact assessment, and content digitalization.
