The Prime Minister tweeted, “India crowned champions, yet again! The Blue Tigers reign supreme at the SAFF Championship 2023! Congrats to our players. The Indian men’s football team won a thrilling penalty shootout against Kuwait 5-4, securing the SAFF Championship 2023 title at Bengaluru’s Sree Kanteerava Stadium. India won their eighth SAFF Championship out of 14 editions, despite being ranked 100th in the latest FIFA rankings.
