The OTT release of Sukhee, the comeback reunion comedy with Shilpa Shetty in the main role, is almost here. Netflix currently offers the movie for streaming.
The renowned streaming service Netflix has finally released the Shilpa Shetty film Sukhee, which was first shown in theaters around two months ago. A while back, Netflix, the streaming service, used its Instagram account to inform its followers and admirers about the movie’s OTT release.
The news was announced on social media by Netflix India’s official account, which stated, “The weekend just got a lot more Sukhee! Watch this endearing slice-of-life dramedy starring the amazing @theshilpashetty. Sukhee is available on Netflix NOW!
The team includes Sonal Joshi, who is making her first film director. Amit Sadh, Dilnaz Irani, Kusha Kapila, and Pavleen Gujral are also featured in the movie.
The film tells the amusing slice-of-life story of Sukhpreet “Sukhee” Kalra, a 38-year-old Punjabi housewife who, fed up with her everyday life, decides to go to her high school reunion in Delhi. In just seven days, Sukhee relives her teenage years and goes through a range of experiences. She emerges renewed, reborn, and goes through the most difficult transition of her life going from being a wife and mother to being a woman once more.
Regarding her career, Rohit Shetty and Sushwanth Prakash are the creators and directors of the cop action drama series Indian Police Force, in which Shilpa Shetty will shortly appear.
Sukhee Streaming On OTT
The film narrates the story of Sukhee, a homemaker who decides to take a break from her everyday life and travel to Delhi to hang out with her friends. On the surface, the movie seems lively and funny, yet some of the dialogue seems to be tackling topics like women’s empowerment and patriarchy. It draws attention to the social norms that frequently force women to put family obligations ahead of their own goals.
The cast of Sonal Joshi’s film Sukhee includes social media stars Kusha Kapila, Amit Sadh, Chaitannya Choudhury, Dilnaz Irani, Pavleen Gujral, Kiran Kumar, and Vinod Nagpal. Joshi, Radhika Anand, Paulomi Dutta, and Rupinder Inderjit co-wrote the script.
