Dharmendra Pradhan interacts with Yuva Sangam Participants from Kerala touring Odisha
Bhubaneswar: In Bhubaneswar today, Union Education, Skill Development, and Entrepreneurship minister, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, engaged with the Kerala Yuva Sangam participants who are now visiting Odisha.
The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Sambalpur’s director, Prof. Mahadeo Jaiswal, along with other dignitaries, included V Muraleedharan, the minister of state for external affairs and parliamentary affairs. IIM Sambalpur in Odisha is the team’s host. In Kerala, NIT Calicut is the nodal organization.
In order to find more about the 42-person team’s experiences experiencing Odisha’s rich cultural, culinary, and artistic legacy, Shri Pradhan engaged with them. It pleased him to see that these young people were anxious to explore the common threads that unite us, and that they were proud of their rich cultural heritage.
As the concept of Yuva Sangam is fortifying the spirit of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, Shri Pradhan thanked Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for this inspiration.
In November and December 2023, as part of the ongoing Yuva Sangam phase, youth from all over the country, mostly students in Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) and off-campus youth in the 18–30 age range, will travel to their paired states for exposure tours. Delegates will visit the host states and gain multifaceted exposure to five key areas: tourist (Prayatan), development (Pragati), technology (Prodyogik), and people-to-people connections (Paraspar Sampark).
Phase 3 of Yuva Sangam is predicted to be incredibly vibrant and enthusiastic, considering the tremendous reaction given to the first two phases, in which over two thousand adolescents participated. The goal of this phase is to introduce the concept of this innovative program, which is being run by the Government of India under the name Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat. It aims to broaden the minds of young change agents and make them aware of the diversity present in the country so they can apply their knowledge to create a future India that is more connected, compassionate, and technologically advanced.
