Odisha: Expected To Encounter A Heat Wave

Published on

Odisha: Expected To Encounter A Heat Wave: Over the next four to five days, the state is predicted to experience a heatwave, with daytime highs of four to six degrees Celsius. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts a 2-3 degree Celsius increase in night-time temperatures.

People will encounter hot weather both during the day and at night as a result of the increase in both the maximum and lowest temperatures, which will result in uncomfortable heat.

Six districts, including Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, and Jagatsinghpur, are under a yellow warning from the weather service, which predicts thunderstorms with lightning and strong gusts.

The district collectors have received advice from the Special Relief Commissioner to stay vigilant and take the required safety measures to reduce damage.

Heavy rain and hailstorms struck the Mayurbhanj district two days ago, severely damaging buildings and crops.
