BJP Workers Recite Hanuman Chalisa Outside Congress’s Hyderabad Office

Published on

Hyderabad: On Friday, police detained Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers and leaders gathered outside the Congress party office in Hyderabad to recite the Hanuman Chalisa. They were protesting the continuing issue over the Congress manifesto, which stated that if elected in Karnataka, it will ban the Bajrang Dal.

BJP members were seen shouting lyrics from the Hanuman Chalisa in a video provided by news agency ANI. This comes after the Congress party stated in its platform on Tuesday (April 2) that it will take forceful and decisive action against people and organisations involved in propagating hatred based on caste and religion.

Earlier on Thursday, members of the Bajrang Dal caused a commotion and vandalised the Congress headquarters in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, to protest the party’s promise of a state-wide ban on the Bajrang Dal if elected.

Members of the ring-wing organisation were seen engaged in damage and causing disruption inside the party office in Jabalpur, according to a footage released by news agency.

Such incidents of commotion have occurred in many parts of the country since the Congress party stated in its manifesto, “We believe that law and the Constitution are sacred and cannot be violated by individuals and organisations like Bajrang Dal, PFI, or others promoting enmity or hatred, whether among majority or minority communities.” We will take appropriate legal action, including banning such entities.”

After the announcement of the manifesto by party president Mallikarjun Kharge, Bajrang Dal said that it will hold ‘Hanuman Chalisa’ recitals across the state on Thursday.
