New Delhi: On the occasion of the 60th Independence Day of the Maldives, External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar extended warm greetings to the Government and people of the Maldives, congratulating them on the diamond jubilee of their independence.

Celebrating 60 Years of Diplomatic Ties

Dr. Jaishankar also highlighted the significance of the occasion as India and the Maldives mark 60 years of diplomatic relations. He reaffirmed India’s enduring commitment to further deepening the strong and time-tested partnership between the two nations.

Strengthening Regional Cooperation

In his message, the External Affairs Minister emphasized that India remains dedicated to working closely with the Maldives for the peace, prosperity, and stability of the Indian Ocean Region, in line with India’s ‘Neighbourhood First’ policy and the shared vision for regional collaboration.
