Patriotic Padyatra in Drass

Earlier in the day, Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya and Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth participated in a padyatra in Drass, Kargil, alongside students, locals, and families of Kargil War martyrs. The padyatra, held with Indian flags waving high, echoed with slogans of “Vande Mataram” and “Bharat Mata Ki Jai”, symbolizing national unity and pride.

Cultural Tributes and Emotional Moments

The commemorative event featured students performing traditional dances and an emotional rendition of the patriotic song “Ae Mere Watan Ke Logon”, which moved many in the crowd. Families of martyrs paid their respects at the Kargil War Memorial, where they stood in silence near the engraved names of their loved ones, clicking photos and sharing moments of remembrance.
