Mahima Gosain Express is new the name Sambalpur-Shalimar Express

Angul: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Union Coal and Mines Minister Prahlad Joshi visited Angul district today Thursday. Three Union Ministers and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik flagged off the launch of the Sambalpur-Shalimar (Kolkata) Express at Angul railway station. Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has advised the Railway Minister to name the Express train as Mahima Gosain Express.

Mahima Gosain Express Timings : Sambalpur-Shalimar Express

  • Now the train No.20832/20831 Sambalpur-Shalimar-Sambalpur Tri-Weekly Express (Mahima Gosain Express) via Talcher and Bhadrak will leave Sambalpur every Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday from January 3 at 7.10 pm.
  • Also, the train will leave from Shalimar at 9.25 pm, every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from January 4 onwards.


On this occasion, the railway line from Balaram Coal Mines to Angul has been launched. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that lakhs are available to create an energy center hub in Angul, Talcher and Chhendipada.

The Union Ministers launched the railway line connecting Angul to Balaram Coal Mine. A ring road has been established between Talcher and Angul by Angul-Balaram’s new railway line. In the coming days, about 250 MMT of coal, 30 MT of iron, 2 MT of aluminum and 30000 MW of electricity will be produced in this area.
