The Ministry of Ayush has announced its active participation in Prime Minister’s Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan, a nationwide health campaign launched by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The initiative is aimed at improving women’s health, well-being, and empowerment through screenings, maternal healthcare, yoga, and Ayush-based interventions.
In collaboration with State and Union Territory (UT) administrations, Ayush research institutions, educational institutions, NGOs, cooperative societies, industries, and private sector partners, the Ministry of Ayush will mobilize communities to strengthen holistic healthcare for women.
Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan: Focus on Women’s Health and Screening
The 16-day campaign will feature a wide range of health check-ups and screening camps for non-communicable diseases (NCDs), cancers, anaemia, tuberculosis, and sickle cell disease. Maternal and child healthcare services will also be a priority, ensuring that women receive early detection, care, and guidance.
Special emphasis will be given to Ayush-based treatment modalities for anaemia, PCOD (Polycystic Ovarian Disease), and other lifestyle-related disorders, especially among women and children. By blending traditional wisdom with modern healthcare, the campaign seeks to provide sustainable and accessible solutions.
Holistic Wellness: Yoga, Lifestyle Counselling, and Prakriti Pareekshan
To promote mental and physical well-being, the campaign will include dedicated kiosks for lifestyle counselling, yoga sessions, and Prakriti Pareekshan (constitution analysis). States and UTs will also organize awareness camps in schools and community centers, while radio, television, and social media will be used to reach wider audiences.
Home remedies, herbal teas, and nutrition kits will be distributed among women, highlighting the benefits of common medicinal plants in daily health. The campaign also emphasizes Ayurveda-inspired wellness programs and yoga-based mindfulness practices to counter corporate burnout and stress.
Community Mobilization Through Self-Help Groups
Self-Help Groups (SHGs) at the Panchayat level will play a vital role in mobilizing local communities. Awareness rallies, pledge-taking events, and interactive workshops will be organized to ensure grassroots participation. The campaign will also highlight topics such as Anaemia-Free Women, Fit Motherhood, Stress-Free Living, Herbal Nutrition, and Bone Health.
Through these activities, the initiative aims to ensure comprehensive healthcare for women—from pregnancy to palliative care—while encouraging community involvement in long-term health awareness.
Daily Ayush Health Tips for Women’s Well-Being
To maximize outreach, the Ministry of Ayush will share daily health tips on social media under the campaign. These tips will focus on key themes, including:
- Anaemia-Free Women
- Fit and Healthy Mothers
- Stress-Free Women
- Herbal Nutrition and Home Remedies
- Bone and Joint Health
This consistent engagement aims to empower women with knowledge and encourage them to adopt healthier lifestyles using both modern and traditional health practices.
