MUMBAI: A dramatic turn of events unfolded at the movie premiere of Hindi film So Long Valley after model Ruchi Gujjar allegedly slapped the film’s producer Karan Singh in public, accusing him of cheating her out of Rs 23 lakh. The incident, captured on video, has gone viral on social media platforms.
FIR Filed for Cheating and Fraud
An official from Oshiwara police station confirmed on Saturday that an FIR was registered against producer Karan Singh on Thursday, following a complaint by Gujjar. The case has been booked under multiple sections related to cheating and financial fraud.
Clash at the Premiere
The confrontation reportedly took place during the film’s premiere event on Friday night, where Gujjar allegedly confronted Singh in full public view and slapped him over the dispute. Videos of the altercation are widely circulating online, adding fuel to the controversy.
Producer Claims Publicity Stunt
The co-producer of the film has refuted the allegations, stating that the entire episode was a “publicity stunt” staged by the model to gain attention. No official response has been issued yet from Karan Singh himself.

Mumbai Police is currently investigating the matter, while statements from both parties are being verified. The case has triggered conversations in the entertainment industry about financial transparency and professionalism.
