PM congratulates first batch of Agniveers on being the pioneers of path-breaking Agnipath Scheme

New Delhi: PM congratulates first batch of Agniveers: Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today addressed the first batch of Agniveers from the three services who started their basic training through video conferencing.

The Prime Minister congratulated Agniveers for pioneering this pioneering Agnipath scheme. He emphasized that this transformative policy will be a game changer in strengthening our armed forces and their future readiness for the challenges ahead. The prime minister confirmed that the young Agniveers will make the armed forces more youthful and technically proficient.

Appreciating the potential of the Agniveers, he said their spirit reflects the bravery of the armed forces, who have always kept the nation’s flag flying high. He said that the experience they will get through this opportunity will be a source of pride for a lifetime.

PM addresses first batch of Agniveers

The Prime Minister said that New India is filled with renewed vigor and efforts are underway to modernize our armed forces and also convert them into Aatmanirbhar. He said that in the 21st century, the way wars are fought is changing. Discussing the new fronts of non-contact warfare and the challenges of cyber warfare, he said that technologically advanced soldiers will play a key role in our armed forces.

He added that the current generation of youth especially has this potential and thus Agniveers will play a leading role in our armed forces in times to come.

The Prime Minister also talked about how the program will further empower women. Expressing happiness that women Agniveers are adding pride to the naval forces, he said he is looking forward to seeing women Agniveers in all the three forces. The prime minister also recalled how women are leading the armed forces on various fronts and gave examples of soldiers posted in Siachen and women piloting modern fighter jets.

The Prime Minister said that being placed in different regions will give them the opportunity to gain different experiences and that they should try to learn different languages ​​as well as different cultures and ways of life. He said teamwork and improving leadership skills will add a new dimension to their personalities. He urged Agniveers to remain curious about learning new things while working to improve their skills in their chosen fields.

Hailing the potential of the youth and Agniveers, the Prime Minister concluded by saying that they are the ones who will provide leadership to the nation in the 21st century.
