The event will feature 350 exhibiting companies representing 18 countries and regions, underlining India’s growing importance in the global semiconductor landscape. Nine Indian states are also set to participate, showcasing their initiatives and policies to support the electronics and semiconductor ecosystem.

Driving India’s Semiconductor Ambitions

According to Mr. Krishnan, Semicon India 2025 aims to catalyze global partnerships, drive domestic innovation, and strengthen India’s position as a trusted and competitive hub for electronics manufacturing. The event is one of the country’s most significant whole-of-nation efforts to build a world-class semiconductor industry and attract long-term investments.

A major highlight this year will be the Semiconductor Design Startup Pavilion, which will provide a dedicated platform for innovation-led chip design enterprises. The pavilion is expected to open new avenues for collaboration, promote indigenous design capabilities, and encourage startups to play a pivotal role in shaping India’s semiconductor future.

Strengthening India’s Global Semiconductor Role

Industry experts note that this edition of Semicon India will not only strengthen international cooperation but also reflect India’s determination to emerge as a global leader in semiconductor manufacturing, design, and research. The event is positioned as a key milestone in India’s journey toward building a robust, resilient, and innovation-driven semiconductor ecosystem.
