New Delhi: Today marked the beginning of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, which aims to increase patriotism among people. The Har Ghar Tiranga campaign will take place from August 13 through August 15 and Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked everyone to participate.

In support of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged people to change the display photo on their social media accounts to the Tricolour on Sunday.’Amrit Mahotsav of Independence’ is being held throughout India as a way to commemorate the country’s 75 years of independence.

Every Indian, he claimed, has an emotional connection to the tricolor, which motivates them to work even more to further the country’s development. Till now, more than 66 lakh users have shared selfies featuring tiranga.

In keeping with the spirit of the Har Ghar Tiranga movement, the prime minister also advised everyone to modify their default profile picture on social media. He urged everyone to provide their support to this special initiative that will strengthen the ties between the people and the country.

The government is commemorating Har Ghar Tiranga under the auspices of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, according to the Union Ministry of Culture. The purpose is to remember the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, emphasizing enhanced Jan Bhagidari and group engagement. The Department of Posts is the authorized organization in charge of providing the general public with high-quality National Flags as part of this effort.

The Postal Department has requested two crore 50 lakh flags this year, and 55 lakh flags have already been distributed through post offices, according to Culture Secretary Govind Mohan during a news briefing yesterday in New Delhi.

He said that one crore thirty lakh flags had already been distributed to States by the Ministry of Textiles. According to Mr. Mohan, Self Help Groups in States are also producing large numbers of flags, showing a trend toward Atma Nirbharta in the industry.

For Independence Day celebrations, Prime Minister Modi has advised everyone to fly the tricolor at home. In the most recent episode of Mann Ki Baat on Akashwani, Mr. Modi advocated for continuing the Har Ghar Tiranga tradition, which enjoyed enormous success and jan bhagidari last year.
