Prithviraj Sukumaran Begins Filming for Malayalam Action Thriller ‘Khalifa’

Malayalam superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran has officially announced the start of production on his next feature film titled ‘Khalifa’. The 42-year-old actor took to Instagram on Wednesday to share the update, posting a photo of the clapboard bearing the film’s title along with a caption that revealed his character’s name:

“Aamir will see you soon,” Prithviraj wrote, hinting at the role he will portray in the film.

Vysakh to Direct, Music by Jakes Bejoy

‘Khalifa’ is being directed by Vysakh, a well-known name in Malayalam cinema with popular films like Pokkiri Raja, Mallu Singh, Pulimurugan, and Monster to his credit. The movie is produced by Jiinu Abraham Innovation, which also confirmed that the first shooting schedule will begin in London on August 6.

The film will feature music by Jakes Bejoy, while acclaimed cinematographer Jomon T John will handle the visuals.

Meanwhile, Prithviraj is also gearing up for the release of ‘Sarzameen’, a project co-starring Kajol and Ibrahim Ali Khan. The film is scheduled to premiere on JioHotstar on July 25.
