Chinese smartphone maker Redmi has officially confirmed several specifications of the Redmi K100 Pro ahead of its launch in China on August 11. Through a series of posts on Weibo, the company revealed that the flagship smartphone will feature Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V chipset along with upgraded display, cooling and gaming-focused hardware.
The device is positioned as a premium flagship and will be available for pre-order ahead of its official release.
Redmi K100 Pro Powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V
Redmi confirmed that the K100 Pro will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V processor carrying the model number SM8850-1-AB.
According to the company, the smartphone achieved an AnTuTu benchmark score of 4.09 million points, highlighting its flagship-level performance.
To enhance gaming and sustained performance, the handset will also include:
- A dedicated graphics chip
- 3D circulating cold-pump cooling system
These features are expected to improve graphics processing while maintaining lower operating temperatures during intensive workloads.
Display, Colours and Pricing Confirmed
The Redmi K100 Pro will feature a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a 185Hz refresh rate, offering smoother visuals for gaming and multimedia.
Redmi has also introduced a special Firefly Light Chaser edition featuring a glow-in-the-dark finish. The smartphone will additionally be available in a White colour option.
The company said the Redmi K100 Pro will be priced at approximately CNY 4,000 in China.

Redmi will officially unveil the K100 Pro in China on August 11, with pre-orders already live in the country.
More details, including camera specifications, battery capacity, charging technology and global availability, are expected to be announced during the launch event.
