Sahitya Akademi to Present Bal Sahitya Puraskar 2025 on November 14 in New Delhi
The Sahitya Akademi will host the Bal Sahitya Puraskar 2025 award ceremony on Friday, November 14, at the Triveni Auditorium in New Delhi. The annual event celebrates excellence in children’s literature across 24 Indian languages, recognizing authors who have made remarkable contributions to the field.
The awards will be conferred by Madhav Kaushik, President of the Sahitya Akademi. Varsha Das, an eminent Gujarati writer, will grace the event as the Chief Guest, while Kumud Sharma, Vice President of the Akademi, will deliver the vote of thanks. The welcome address will be given by Pallavi Prashant Holkar, Secretary of the Akademi.
Each recipient will receive a ₹50,000 cheque and a bronze plaque as part of the recognition.

Awardees’ Meet to Follow on November 15
An Awardees’ Meet will be held the next day, November 15, at the Ravindra Bhawan Auditorium, Sahitya Akademi, Ferozeshah Road, New Delhi. The session will be chaired by Kumud Sharma and will feature interactive discussions where the winners will share their creative journeys and inspirations.
