Hostel facilities will set up in every Industrial Estate for 2 Thousand Workers: 5T VK Pandian

Bhubaneswar: Hostels will be built for 2 thousand workers in each industrial area said 5T secretary of the state government VK Pandian on his visits to Khurda Industrial Area.

The 5T Secretary V K Pandian along with a team of senior officials visited Khordha Industrial Park, Food Park, IID Khordha & Jaymangal Industrial Estate. They discussed various issues of industrialists, workers & local people. Revision of the problem with resolution within 3 months will be done. However, about 50 people during the visit to Khurda Shilupegarh with the workers of small and medium enterprises and their unions discussed.

The 5T Secy advised the Industries Department & District Collector to solve the issues within 3 months. Discussions were held on improvements in electricity & water supply, parking facility for trucks, hostels for workers, traffic & waste management and security arrangements.

It was decided that hostel facilities will be set up in every Industrial Estate for 2000 to 3000 workers. The 5T Secy informed that a special policy will be introduced for the Covid-hit industries. Various industrialists expressed satisfaction over the resolution of pending issues.

He said that there will be a special policy for industries that the local people emphasize is placed on recruitment.
