BHUBANESWAR: The Odisha weather alert has been updated by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), which has forecast thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds across several districts on July 13. The weather agency has also warned of heavy rainfall in Kendujhar and Mayurbhanj, prompting authorities to advise residents to remain cautious during adverse weather conditions.
Apart from rainfall, several coastal and interior districts are expected to experience hot and humid weather conditions.

According to the IMD’s latest weather bulletin, thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty surface winds of 30 to 40 kmph are likely at one or two places in the following districts:
