PM Modi Reaffirms Vision of Developed India by 2047, Emphasizes Self-Reliance and National Pride

Published on

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reiterated his vision of transforming India into a fully developed nation by 2047. Comparing the mission to the freedom struggle, he stated that just as previous generations ousted colonial rulers within 20 to 35 years, today’s 140 crore citizens can achieve a developed India in the next 25 years.

Speaking at the celebration of 20 years of the Gujarat Urban Growth Story in Gandhinagar, PM Modi highlighted India’s economic progress and expressed pride in becoming the world’s fourth-largest economy, surpassing former colonial powers. He also noted that efforts are accelerating to elevate India to the third-largest economy globally.

PM Modi reaffirmed India’s aspiration to host the 2036 Olympics, emphasizing the country’s growing confidence and readiness to lead on the global stage.

The Prime Minister also highlighted the broader significance of Operation Sindoor, describing it as more than a military campaign—it represents a lasting commitment to national development. He urged citizens to support this mission by promoting local products, reducing dependency on foreign goods, and embracing the “One District, One Product” strategy to boost local manufacturing and strengthen domestic industries.

Encouraging citizens to take pride in Indian-made goods, he called for a collective effort to achieve economic self-reliance and national pride through everyday actions.

During his visit to Gujarat, PM Modi inaugurated and laid foundation stones for development projects worth over ₹82,000 crore. This included projects worth ₹5,536 crore launched at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar. A day earlier, he unveiled and initiated infrastructure projects worth over ₹77,000 crore in Dahod and Bhuj, underscoring the government’s commitment to rapid and inclusive development across the country.
