Reaffirming its commitment to global humanitarian efforts, India has sent 5 metric tonnes of life-saving medical supplies to Syria, a nation grappling with a prolonged crisis. The aid, consisting of critical medicines such as anti-cancer drugs, antibiotics, and anti-hypertensives, was formally handed over by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).
The consignment is part of India’s ongoing humanitarian support to conflict-affected regions, reinforcing its role as a reliable partner in times of need.
India Medical Aid to Syria: A Gesture of Global Solidarity
The latest delivery highlights India’s medical diplomacy and reflects New Delhi’s proactive stance in assisting nations facing humanitarian emergencies.
“This assistance demonstrates India’s solidarity with the Syrian people during a time of severe crisis,” the MEA stated.
This marks yet another chapter in the growing India medical aid to Syria initiative, aligning with India’s broader foreign policy goals of aiding global peace, health, and development.
