New Delhi: The NDA Parliamentary Party on Tuesday passed a strong resolution commending the Indian Armed Forces for their “unmatched courage” during Operation Sindoor and Operation Mahadev, launched in response to the deadly Pahalgam terror attack on April 22. The party also lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, describing it as “exceptional and visionary.”
Tribute to Armed Forces
In a formal statement released during the meeting, the NDA Parliamentary Party declared:
“The NDA Parliamentary Party salutes the unmatched courage and unwavering commitment of our armed forces, who showed heroic valour during Operation Sindoor and Operation Mahadev. Their courage highlights their unflinching devotion to protecting our nation. We pay our deepest condolences and respects to those who lost their lives in the Pahalgam terror attack.”
The meeting served as a platform to honor the martyrs of the attack and to underscore the strategic success of India’s military response.
Applause for PM Modi’s Commanding Leadership
The NDA leaders felicitated PM Narendra Modi at the meeting, praising his firm response and leadership following the Pahalgam incident. A resolution read:
“The NDA Parliamentary Party lauds the exceptional leadership displayed by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi during these times. His unwavering resolve, visionary statesmanship and resolute command have not only steered the nation with purpose but also ignited a renewed spirit of unity and pride in the hearts of all Indians.”
Chants of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Har Har Mahadev” echoed in the Parliament as the Prime Minister arrived, marking his second address to the NDA MPs since the alliance returned to power for a third consecutive term.
India’s Military Response to Pahalgam Terror Attack
The government revealed that Operations Sindoor and Mahadev involved targeted strikes on terror camps in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and Pakistan. Officials claimed these actions had a significant strategic and psychological impact on the adversary.
“The government’s response to the April 22 Pahalgam attack brought the neighbouring country to its knees,” a senior BJP leader was quoted as saying.
