Gautam Adani Joins Puri Rath Yatra, Launches ‘Prasad Seva’ to Serve 40 Lakh Devotees

Published on

Puri: Industrialist Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, along with his wife Priti Adani and son Karan Adani, participated in the grand Rath Yatra celebrations in Puri, Odisha on Saturday. The Adani family joined the lakhs of devotees who had gathered to witness the sacred procession of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Goddess Subhadra.

The family offered prayers and performed the ‘Rath Poojan’ rituals during the divine event.

As part of their spiritual commitment, the Adani Group also unveiled its large-scale ‘Prasad Seva’ initiative during the chariot festival. The initiative is aimed at offering free, clean, and nutritious meals to millions of devotees visiting Puri during the festival, along with refreshments and cool beverages to provide respite from the intense summer heat.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Gautam Adani expressed gratitude:

“By the infinite grace of Lord Shri Jagannath Ji, we have been blessed with the opportunity to serve in the sacred Rath Yatra of Puri Dham… The entire Adani family is committed to serving every devotee with sincerity and devotion.”

The initiative is not only serving devotees but also frontline workers, volunteers, and officials involved in managing the Rath Yatra. Numerous distribution counters have been set up across the temple town to ensure smooth and efficient delivery of meals and drinks.

The Adani Group plans to distribute nearly 40 lakh meals from June 26 to July 8, echoing similar efforts made by the group during the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, where they collaborated with religious and civic bodies for large-scale food distribution.

Gautam Adani stated that “Serving devotees is a spiritual duty. Service is worship, and we are honoured to be part of this divine cause.”

The ‘Prasad Seva’ initiative not only reflects the Adani Group’s growing focus on social service and religious philanthropy but also strengthens their presence in large-scale spiritual gatherings across the country.
