HSRP Affixation Deadline Extended Again One Month

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha state government has extended for Affixation of High Security Registration Plates (HSRP) Plate by one more month yesterday. A notification has been issued by the state transport department regarding the extension of the period. Now If the last digit of the vehicle number is 1, 2, 3, 4, the last date os November 30, 2022. If it is 5 or 6, you will get time till December 31, 2022. Similarly, if the last digit is 0 or 9, the time will be found till February 28, 2023.

It is worth noting that, initially, by the end of December 2022, it was aimed to install high security number plates in all the vehicles of the state. The last date of the High Security number for vehicles whose registration number is 1 or 2 was September 30. The government has given it time till October 31. Now the government has given another month’s time as the high security numbers of vehicles with number plates 1 and 2 cannot be affixed by October 31, 2022.

Good news now booking facility for High Security Registration Plates-HSRP can be availed at “Mo Seva Kendra” of the state. Vehicle owners can book by visiting their nearest Mo Seva Center. The state transport authority has issued a press release and provided the information about it.

Please note earlier bookings were only available at www.siam.in. Which was bothering the rural people as they didn’t have internet access and didn’t know about online and how book a slot.


The state transport department has directed all vehicle manufacturers to provide number plate booking facility to vehicle owners at RTO offices. Help desks for high security number plates have been opened at all ARTOs and ARTO offices. They have been directed to set up camps or temporary fitment centers in other parts of the state. Where the OEM dealer network is not available, OEMs have opened camp fitment centers or temporary fitment centers through their authorized dealers.

Earlier, the High Court had directed the state government to submit affidavits after hearing the liability case related to the registration of informational high security number plates.
