Hyderabad: A tragic hit-and-run accident near Hyderabad claimed the life of a 25-year-old woman after a speeding lorry allegedly crashed into the scooter she was travelling on with her husband and two children.
The victim, identified as Fatima Begum, died on the spot following the collision near Chandrayangutta on Thursday night.
According to police, the family was returning home after attending a wedding when the accident occurred.
Hyderabad Hit-and-Run Accident Involved Speeding Lorry
Police said the speeding lorry hit the scooter and immediately fled the scene after the crash.
Fatima Begum sustained fatal injuries and died instantly, while her husband and two children survived with injuries.
Chandrayangutta Police confirmed that a case has been registered and further investigation is underway.
The body has been shifted for post-mortem examination.
