Mumbai: Despite winning over millions of hearts in the 1990s, Karisma Kapoor personal life was a struggle. She married businessman Sunjay Kapur following her painful split from actor Abhishek Bachchan.

However, after 11 years of marriage, things between the two began to turn sour. The pair divorced in 2014 after getting married in a lavish ceremony in 2003.

However, a contentious legal dispute over the custody of their children followed their divorce.

The ‘Dil Toh Pagal Hai’ actress made severe accusations against Sunjay, related a horrifying tale about their honeymoon, and described how he attempted to coerce her into sleeping with his buddies.

She said that he had assaulted her and even set a price on her so that he could auction her off to one of his pals. Sunjay countered that Karisma Kapoor had only married him for his wealth. Samaira Kapoor and Kiaan Raj Kapoor’s custody was granted to Karisma after a two-year judicial fight.

Years have passed, and the former couple now appears to have moved past their unhappy past and forgotten about it. Karisma Kapoor and Sunjay were recently seen out for dinner together in Mumbai.

Karisma also waved and greeted the photographers waiting outside the restaurant with joy. Samaira, their daughter, was among them. The couple had gathered earlier to commemorate their son’s birthday.
