Leh: The first-ever Ladakh Astro Tourism Festival, a landmark initiative to promote astro tourism and science-based travel, concluded successfully on Saturday in Leh. Organized by the Ladakh Tourism Department in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA), Bangalore, the two-day festival showcased Ladakh’s unique potential as a prime destination for stargazing and celestial observation.

The festival offered interactive learning sessions led by astrophysicists from ISRO, the Indian Institute of Astrophysics, and experts from Kashmir University. A major attraction of the festival was the Night Sky Observation event at the Leh campus of Ladakh University, where participants engaged in guided telescope viewing sessions.
