Thailand’s Opal Suchata was crowned Miss World 2025 in a glittering finale held in Hyderabad, Telangana, marking the conclusion of the 72nd edition of the prestigious pageant. The crown was passed on by outgoing titleholder Krystyna Pyszkova of the Czech Republic in a ceremony filled with glamour, emotion, and celebration.
Opal wore a symbolic white gown adorned with floral opal-like designs, representing healing, resilience, and strength. She described the dress as a tribute to women who choose hope over fear, part of her campaign “Opal For HER.” The gown featured Swarovski crystals, which she said reflected the inner light that guides women through darkness.
“The soft flare mirrors how compassion spreads—one heart awakening many,” Opal shared on Instagram, calling the gown a tribute to every woman who dares to dream despite challenges. “Like the opal, I shine in my own light,” she added.
As Thailand celebrates Opal’s victory, India’s Nandini Gupta, who had advanced to the Top 40, did not make it to the final Top 8. Despite an impressive performance in earlier rounds and being among the 18 fast-tracked contestants, she missed out on the final stages of the competition.
This year’s pageant marked a historic moment with India hosting the Miss World finale once again, following the previous edition in Mumbai. The event ended with Krystyna Pyszkova passing the crown to Opal Suchata, who now takes on the global role of Miss World.
