Saiyaara Box Office Collection Day 9: Mohit Suri’s Film Crosses ₹200 Crore

Published on

New Delhi: Mohit Suri’s romantic drama Saiyaara has officially crossed the ₹200 crore milestone at the Indian box office within just nine days of release. The film, which marks the debut of Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, continues to defy expectations and is now the second-highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2025, trailing only behind Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava.

Day 9 Collection: ₹217.25 Crore and Rising

According to early estimates by Sacnilk, Saiyaara earned ₹26.5 crore on its second Saturday, a 50% jump from its second Friday collection of ₹18 crore. The Saturday figure mirrors its first Saturday earnings, signaling sustained audience interest.

With a second weekend total of ₹44.5 crore so far, the film’s total India nett stands at ₹217.25 crore. The movie is now racing toward the ₹300 crore club, a benchmark only Chhaava has reached this year with ₹601 crore.

Box Office Trajectory: Word-of-Mouth Boost and Screen Expansion

Initially released on 2,225 screens, Saiyaara saw a massive screen expansion to 3,650 screens across India, as per trade analyst Taran Adarsh. This boost is expected to further fuel its box office performance.

Made on a modest budget of ₹40–₹50 crore, Saiyaara has already emerged as one of Bollywood’s most profitable films, delivering over 4X returns on investment.

Overtaking Housefull 5, Chasing Chhaava

With its latest numbers, Saiyaara has overtaken Akshay Kumar’s Housefull 5, pushing it to third place in 2025’s box office rankings. Only Chhaava stands ahead, setting an ambitious target for Saiyaara as it continues its dream run.

Cast Reactions and Audience Love

Lead actor Ahaan Panday expressed his appreciation on Instagram:

“One week of Saiyaara, thank you for the love.”

Audiences have been drawn to the film’s musical romance narrative, with Suri’s direction blending emotions, heartbreak, and ambition into a crowd-pleasing blockbuster.
