Seven People died in Odisha road accident today near Jajpur

Jaajpur: A tragic accident took place this morning when an Eicher collided with a parked truck on State Highway 16 in Jajpur district in near Central Bank between Chandikhole and Neulapur. At least seven people died in Odisha road accident.

The identity of the deceased has not yet been determined. At least four people were injured in the incident, one of whom was taken to SCB Medical College and and died.

Meanwhile, local residents, police and rescuers rushed to the scene for rescue operations. The exact cause of the accident has been investigated.

Sources said the incident took place when a light truck coming from the Kolkata side collided with a parked truck near Central Bank in Neulapur area. Reports indicate that the truck crashed and parked on the side of the road.

According to reports, all those killed are from Kolkata and its surrounding areas. It is said, they came to Odisha for business work. In this regard, a case has been filed by the local police.

In another Odisha road accident, a truck and a bus collided head on at Manchabandha near Baripada. The injured driver has been identified as Sujit Moharia of Uttar Pradesh.
