Cultural Fest Highlights
The year 2025 marks a significant milestone for the organisation as it completes a century since its founding. During the Vijayadashami 2025 events, the RSS held large gatherings in Nagpur and other parts of the country to commemorate 100 years of its establishment. The ongoing cultural programs, including the Khasdar Sanskrutik Mahotsav, are part of a wider series of activities planned throughout the centenary year.
PM Modi Recognises RSS Role in Nation Building
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a special message shared during the centenary observances, praised the RSS for its steady contribution to national development. He emphasized that the organisation has consistently focused on character-building as a foundation for building a stronger nation. Modi highlighted that the daily shakha system has remained central to fostering discipline, unity, and personal transformation among swayamsevaks.
Founded in 1925 by Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar in Nagpur, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh was created as a volunteer-driven organisation dedicated to cultural awareness, service, discipline, and social responsibility. Over the past century, it has expanded its reach across India, playing a role in community service, disaster relief, and social upliftment programs. The centenary year has further brought attention to its legacy and its influence on cultural and national activities.
