Renowned Tamil actor and comedian Madhan Bob passes away at the age of 71, leaving the South Indian film industry in mourning. The veteran actor, whose real name was Krishnamurthy, breathed his last on Saturday evening at his residence in Adyar, Chennai, after a prolonged battle with cancer.

Madhan Bob was a staple in Tamil entertainment, having appeared in films alongside legends like Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Ajith Kumar, Vijay, and Suriya. His standout performances in movies such as Vaaname Ellai, Poove Unakkaaga, and Thevar Magan remain etched in fans’ memories.

Apart from films, Madhan Bob made a significant mark on television, most notably as a judge on the hit comedy reality show ‘Asathapovadhu Yaaru’. His hearty laughter and candid judgments earned him massive fan support. He also appeared in several popular TV serials.
