India Condemns Field Marshal Munir’s Nuclear Threat from U.S. Soil

Published on

India has vehemently rebuked Pakistan Army Chief General Asim Munir for his alarming nuclear threats—made not from Rawalpindi or Islamabad, but during a speech in Tampa, Florida. At a private gathering, Munir ominously declared Pakistan would “take half the world down” if its existential security were jeopardized.

Nuclear Threat from U.S. Soil Sparks Indian Condemnation

This hardly seen-before scenario—issuing nuclear menaces on foreign soil—has drawn sharp concern from New Delhi and the global community. India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) slammed the remarks, stating they accentuate enduring anxieties over Pakistan’s command-and-control of its nuclear arsenal and the intersection of its military leadership with extremist undertones.

MEA Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal commented, “These irresponsible remarks underscore global worries about Pakistan’s nuclear command integrity, especially when military influence coexists with terror-aligned networks.” He added that such statements—delivered from a friendly third-country’s soil—are regrettable and reaffirm India’s resolve: “We will not be coerced by nuclear blackmail and will safeguard our national security by all means.”
