The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation user fee initiative is expected to support sustainable cleanliness operations and improve service delivery across the Odisha capital.

Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation user fee to be collected ward-wise

As per the new decision, Swachh Sathis have been instructed to collect the prescribed user fee from their respective wards. The charges will apply to permanent residents, business units, commercial establishments, educational institutions and other organisations operating within the city limits. BMC Additional Commissioner Ratnakar Sahoo said the cleanliness partners have also been trained to ensure smooth and transparent fee collection.

Guidelines issued for proper waste disposal

Along with the fee structure, civic officials have released detailed guidelines for residents and institutions. Citizens have been advised to hand over waste only to authorised BMC vehicles and strictly follow source segregation norms by keeping wet, dry and hazardous waste separate. The administration has also warned against indiscriminate dumping of garbage in public places.
