The leaders also denounced the Pahalgam terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir in April this year, which claimed the lives of 26 innocent civilians. Both sides underlined the urgent need to counter radicalization, combat terror financing, and prevent the misuse of emerging technologies for terrorist activities.

Key focus areas included:

  • Defence collaboration and training
  • Enhancing maritime cooperation in the Indo-Pacific
  • Supporting a free, open, inclusive, and secure Indo-Pacific region

The two leaders emphasized that their cooperation will contribute to regional peace, stability, and prosperity.

India–Fiji Relations: A Strategic Partnership
