Iran Condemns US Strike on Nuclear Facilities, Calls for UN Action

Published on

Tehran: Iran has sharply condemned the recent US military airstrikes on its nuclear installations, calling the move a blatant breach of international law and the UN Charter. In a strongly worded statement, the Iranian Foreign Ministry described the attack as a “brutal act of aggression” and placed full responsibility on the United States for the consequences that may follow.

Tehran Accuses US-Israel Coordination, Labels Israel as Genocidal

The statement further alleged coordination between the US and Israel, with Iran branding the latter a “genocidal regime.” Iranian officials claimed the struck facilities were peaceful nuclear sites under the IAEA’s supervision, dismissing any claim of military activity.

Iran Calls for Emergency UN Meeting and IAEA Action

Iran urged the United Nations, the Security Council, and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to act swiftly. It demanded an emergency UN session to condemn the attack and hold Washington accountable. Iran also took aim at the IAEA, accusing the global nuclear watchdog of bias and enabling the attack by siding with “warmongering” nations.

Iran Warns of Dangerous Global Precedent

Concluding its statement, Iran cautioned that global silence over the attack would set a dangerous precedent, potentially undermining the very foundation of international law, diplomacy, and multilateral nuclear oversight.
