New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi received warm wishes from several global leaders on his 75th birthday, celebrated on September 17. Leaders including Russian President Vladimir Putin, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, US President Donald Trump, Australian PM Anthony Albanese, and former UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak extended their greetings, praising Modi’s leadership and India’s growing influence on the global stage.
Born in 1950 in Gujarat’s Vadnagar, Modi’s journey from a small-town boy to becoming India’s longest-serving prime minister continues to inspire millions across the world.
World Leaders Praise Modi’s Leadership on His 75th Birthday
President Vladimir Putin lauded Modi for his “great personal contribution” to enhancing the India-Russia partnership. He emphasized that under Modi’s leadership, India has achieved impressive progress in social, economic, scientific, and technical fields.
US President Donald Trump personally called Modi a day earlier, sparking hopes of a reset in strained bilateral ties. Trump praised Modi’s “tremendous job” and thanked him for supporting efforts to end the Ukraine war.

Israel and UK Leaders Highlight Strong Bonds with PM Modi
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described Modi as a “good friend,” highlighting the shared accomplishments in strengthening India-Israel ties. He expressed optimism about taking the partnership to greater heights.
Former UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, in his message, stressed the growing strength of UK-India relations. Calling Modi a true friend, Sunak recalled his 2023 visit to India for the G20 Summit and said the relationship will always remain special to him as a British-Indian.
Global Leaders and Dignitaries Join in Birthday Wishes
Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese noted the strong friendship between India and Australia, appreciating the contribution of the Indian community to his country.
Bhutanese Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay wished Modi good health, happiness, and a long life.
Other dignitaries such as New Zealand PM Christopher Luxon, Myanmar President Min Aung Hlaing, Guyana President Irfaan Ali, and Dominica Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit also conveyed their birthday greetings.
Bill Gates Commends PM Modi’s Role in Global Progress
In a video message, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates extended wishes for Modi’s good health and strength, acknowledging India’s role in driving global development. He appreciated the partnership between the Gates Foundation and the Government of India, particularly in advancing the vision of Viksit Bharat and sharing innovations with the Global South.
