India-Australia Joint Military Exercise AUSTRA-HIND Begins

The fourth edition of the India-Australia joint military Exercise AUSTRA-HIND 2025 commenced in Perth, marking another milestone in defence cooperation between the two nations.

An Indian Army contingent of 120 personnel, led by a Battalion of Gorkha Rifles and supported by troops from other arms and services, is participating in the exercise, which will conclude on 26th October.

The joint drill aims to enhance military collaboration and provide a platform to exchange tactics, techniques, and procedures in sub-conventional warfare, particularly in urban and semi-urban terrains.
