Mumbai: Former India cricketer Virender Sehwag is set to make his streaming debut as the host of Rise and Fall Season 2. The announcement was made on Friday, September 11, with Sehwag bringing his outspoken personality and cricket experience to the reality show.

The second season will stream exclusively on Prime Video and will also be available through the MX Player Android app. Sehwag takes over as host from Ashneer Grover, who presented the first season.

The premiere date and complete list of celebrity contestants have not yet been announced.

Sehwag has compared the unpredictable nature of cricket with the shifting power dynamics featured in Rise and Fall.

The former India opener said cricket taught him that a match cannot be considered won until the final ball. He believes the reality show’s format takes that uncertainty to another level.

Rise and Fall Season 2 Format

The reality show features 15 celebrity contestants divided into two groups: Rulers and Workers.

Rulers live in a luxury penthouse, while Workers stay in a basement. Their positions and privileges can change during the competition depending on decisions, alliances and strategies.

The format is based on a British reality television concept and is produced by Banijay Asia.
