Bhubanswar: Odisha state government on Tuesday extended the deadline for +3 admissions in colleges till June 1 following a delay in declaring results for the CHSE Class 12 result.

The Odisha government has extended the deadline for undergraduate admissions in state-run colleges to June 1, 2025, due to a delay in the declaration of Class 12 results by the state’s Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE). The previous deadline for admissions was May 20, 2025.

This extension applies to all (+3) Degree Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), including Self-Financing Colleges and Sanskrit Colleges, under the Student SAMS. Students can find more details and apply through the official SAMS Odisha website at www.samsodisha.gov.in.

The government has advised scholars from the Socially and Economically Backward Class (SEBC) order to insure they’ve a valid estate instrument ready, as they’re eligible for 11.25 reservation in state- run sodalities.

This decision aims to accommodate students affected by the delayed results and ensure a smoother admission process.
