Odisha Vigilance being ranked No1 in the country: CM

Bhubaneswar: Vigilance Awareness Week 2022: Attending the Vigilance Awareness Week function on a virtual platform on Monday, Chief Minister of Odisha Shri Naveen Patnaik expressed happiness over Odisha Vigilance being ranked number one in the country by National Crime Records Bureau in the detection and registration of disproportionate asset cases 2021. CM also administered the โ€˜Integrity Pledgeโ€™ to all Govt officers.

Notably, On the Vigilance Awareness Week 2022, CM said it is very encouraging to see that in all major parameters like registration & disposal of corruption cases & conviction of corrupt public servants, Odisha Vigilance is among the top performing anti-corruption agencies in India, as revealed by NCRB.

CM added that Odisha Govt has adopted a โ€˜Zero Toleranceโ€™ approach to corruption so that basic public services are available to people at the grassroots in a fair and transparent manner, and the benefits of welfare & developmental schemes reach backward and poor sections. He remarked that Bhubaneswar vigilance received the Best Vigilance Division Award.

Today, A state level function was organised at Convention Centre for the purpose. The theme of this yearโ€™s programme is โ€œCorruption free India for a developed Nationโ€.

On this he said that his government has adopted a โ€˜Zero Toleranceโ€™ approach to corruption so that basic public services are made available to the people at the grassroots level in a fair and transparent manner and the benefits of welfare and developmental schemes reach the backward and poor sections of the society.

โ€œWith proactive steps like โ€˜Mo Sarkarโ€™, we are also trying to empower the people, who are the ultimate masters in a democracy, for claiming their rightful entitlements,โ€ he added it.

He called upon all the public servants to show exemplary probity and integrity in their work and appealed the people of Odisha to renew their resolve to fight against corruption and strengthen the transparency and anti-corruption initiatives of the government.
